Just a clarification: Someone mentioned Lysol as killing bacteria but not
being something you would force-feed to a ferret.  Not only that, but it
can kill your ferret if you just clean their area with it.  This happened
to someone earlier this year who used it to clean a ferret cage -- they
posted on this list.  Apparently, even the leftover fumes are toxic.  My
conclusion: Don't use Lysol around ferrets at all.  (No offense to the
manufacturer -- I'm sure it has many good uses.)
