I, too, was incensed by Rev.  Sim's post.  I have thought that many of his
posts had no place on the FML.  However, I've continually ignored them as
he has a right to *his* own beliefs.  I wholeheartedly agree with "A
Militant Atheist Who Has to Post Anonymously" on this matter!  I don't mind
reading an off-handed reference about someone else's belief and fine if
that is what comforts them but I don't appreciate it being shoved down my
throat.  I don't appreciate being preached to or read a post that preaches
to someone else.  (Yes, I realize that I have the option to scroll).
 
I don't need anyone to pray for me in hopes that my heart is "softened" or
pray that I change my beliefs.  My belief system allows me plenty of hope
and joy.

Please... can "we" tone it down a little?
 
Here, here!  Let's keep the "in your face" religion off the list, please!
