I'm not going to be able to say this well. With so much pain already, I
can't stop crying, and my husband is hurting so much too. Big Bear came
out to play last night and all of a sudden flared his tailed (which has
never been done, because he can't feel down there) and looked like he was
having a small siezure. I knew mentally it wasn't but rubbed kayo into his
gums anyways. My vet doesn't have emergency so I called both the two vets
that did in the phone book....one never answered, the other brought me to a
recording which hung up. I called Chris in portland.

In less than 15 minutes he was gone. He died in Dales arms, who was
holding him to his chest and talking to him.

From what Chris Described over the phone it was most likely kidney failure.
I waiting to talk to my vet, but she is in surgeries this morning.

Chris, thank you for answering your phone in the middle of the night and
trying to help me.

I keep going to his cage, I have it so ingrained to go there several times
a day for his bladder to be done. He always made me happy when I was sad,
for he always happy, even though life had dealt him not the nicest of
cards. I loved that boy so very very much and every person he ever met
always loved him from first sight. He was the sweetest little man to ever
cross my path.

I know he touched so many people with his story. My brave little guy. He
always loved being the center of attention, doing his little walrus version
of the ferret dance of joy.
