Not a ferret site, but it shows the skull changes in the Bull terrier
over 50 years because of selective trait breeding. Dogs were originally
bred for certain functions. Unfortunately do to breeding for certain
"features" the bull terrier and alot of other dogs could probably not
perform the tasks they were bred for and do not resemble in many areas
the original breeds, nor could they be "working dogs" any longer, along
with certain health issues (joint problems, breathing, etc) that may go
along with achieving the desired traits. It would be a shame to have in
the future ferrets who could no longer "ferret".
