Adrenal Cancer & PTSD
At a seminar, a doctor described PTSD (Post Truamatic Stress Disorder) I
think thats the correct term. He described it when an animal (mostly
humams) have to be in an enviroment where the stress is high for a long time
and the adrenal level is being maintained at higher than normal levels.
When the stress ceases the gland continues to maintain the same high level
of activity. Is this possible in a ferret, if kept in stressfull conditions
over a period? Could this possibly lead to adrenal failure? Could this
stress also induce (not sure if correct term) contribute to the onset of a
cancerous cell, due to higher than normal Level of adrenal operating.
