Meghan, you say she is beginning to trust YOU somewhat,...along with
that, those 'loud noises',....could they be "toned-down" if they are
necessary in the first place.  If those noises are thing like banging
pots & pans in the kitchen, or loud video games on tv, couldn`t a
request/demand be made to have some consideration for your pet,??....
especially if you are the boss in your home..  but the more he gets used
to those sounds, hopefully toned downed, and you going to him after the
noise passes,....will ease him/her into a feeling of safety,(because of
you), and will be a much happier & dooking fert!!  It will take a lot of
tlc, and time, but they are very intelligent, and will slowly "bounce
back"!!!!
