Over the weekend Smokey's tumor has grown very fast again and has started to
protrude out his bottom. He had trouble walking last night, looked better
this morning. I spoke with the vet and was given several options, after
much research and disscussions with other vets and oncologists. Smokey's
chances of recovery are slim to none, going from the few documented cases
like Smokey's. I feel like the floor has melted beneath me, he will have
more surgery to hopefully remove the mass, then have a sub-q port placed for
chemo(what kind of chemo is still up in the air)How painful this would be
for him, I don't know. A chemo compound in a capsule(we have been warned of
toxic risk for both us and Smokey while giving this)will this be a nightmare
for him? Lastly try to remove as much as possible and nothing more. I want
to do the best for him without torturing him. I love him, he has helped me
cope with a lot since the loss of my son. I have to decide very soon what
to do. I'm greatful for any ideas or suggestions.

Thankyou
Lorie
