Hi everyone,

Let me start off by sending my thoughts and prayers for all the sick/ill
fuzzies, and my sympathies for all those that have passed over.

Now, on to Slinky. She is going in on Wednesday evening to start her chemo
treatments. The doc believes that she has a good chance to come through
this well. She is doing fine, and her stitches are due to come out on
Saturday. She doesn't appear to have suffered any due to the surgery,
hopefully because I took her in for an exam early.

Now onto my other little Silver Mitt, Yuki. I adopted Yuki about 3 months
ago. Her first dad had severe allergies to her fur and wasn't able to keep
her any longer. She also had adrenal surgery in May.

Well, she has lost her fur on her bum again and I had bloodwork done,
haven't received results yet but I suspect the adrenal is back. Yuki also
weighed 1.5 lbs when I first got her but after about 6 weeks, she had
dropped to 1.0 lb. This worried me because she is so tiny. I have been
slowly weening all of my fuzzbutts onto Totally Ferret and so I started
mixing Yuki's IAMs kitten food in with the TF so that the flavors could
mingle. Guess what? She is eating the TF now and has put back on the .5
lb that she lost. I was lifting her the other day and she "felt" heavier.
I weighed her and sure enough, she weighed in at 1.5 lbs.

I am also giving everybody Ferretone. They love it. They get a treat
about 3x a week. Yuki loves it so much she closes her eyes when drinking
and looks like she is in heaven.

Will post when get results of bloodwork, but suspect adrenal surgery is in
the not so distant future. Please keep both Slinky and Yuki in your
thoughts and prayers.
