Hi there :)

Thank you all so much for the response to the note i put up about our little
fert "Nads". Who would have thought that thru FML i would be able to get
the details of the only Ferret Specialist Vet in Australia:), he is in
western australia but the distance can be covered at a later date :)

An update on "Nads"-

After getting the vets at the RSPCA (the Australian equivelant of the ASPCA)
to confer with another vet with more experience in handling small animals
with broken bones, they finally worked out how to get the bandage and
splinting to stay on. Nads i'm glad to say has adjusted quite well to
having his leg strapped to his body and seems to be a lot happier that he
can't damage it any further by falling on it etc.

So the countdown is on till he can come home, he wont be too happy that he
will be confined to a isolation cage, but that is only for the short term,
and he hopefully will be mended :) and avoiding shoes *smile* If surgery is
necessary later on down the track to correct the bones then ill take him to
the ferret specialist in Perth (approximately 3000 kilometres away) but
we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Thank you all again for your interest and ill keep posting, with notices of
his progression

Sebastian, Vicki and "Nads" "Tuck" and one unnamed Kitt :)
