-> I've had success with placing a large rumpled-up blanket or pile of
-> clothes in a corner in which you don't want them to go. Some ferrets
-> will still go on the blanket (and then you're out of luck), but both
-> of my ferrets will not. I think they think it's kind of a secondary
-> place to sleep.

The "blanket-in-the-corner-so-it's-really-NOT-a-corner" has to be the best
one yet. This just might work. Thanks for taking the time to write this.

-> To the fellow with the bathroom and too many corners...do they ever get to
-> go out to the rest of the house? Oh...have you tried putting the deposits in
-> the litterbox and showing them? As ickey as it sounds...it works for me.

Yes, they get out. Last night, for example, we had a couple of friends over.
We took them into the living room. Exits to the kitchen and the upstairs were
guarded and we romped with them for about an hour and a half. They played
with socks, towels, boxes, balls, and people.

When they've used somewhere else, we haven't taken that particular
business and placed it in the litter box. Why not? Because they did use
the litter box 50% of the time, so there was already some in the litter box.
Yes, we have showed them the contents of the aforementioned box many times.
They have not used the floor for the last few days, but that's only because
we don't let them out of our sight when they are out of the bathroom. So in
a way, they are hitting 100% now. :)

-> Are they out in the rest of the house? I imagine they must be...do they do
-> alright there? :)

If they start to back into that corner, they get a quick trip to the bathroom.
Right now they are not trusted to be out alone.

-> Try cleaning the corner you don't want them to use with Clorox.

Thanks, Carl. Another good idea. I'll try this together with the blanket
idea.
