O.k.  Here's something weird I've noticed about my ferrets.  Has anyone
else out there experienced this?  Do you know why this happens?
 
I will walk up to one of the ferrets and take my three middle fingers and
skritch right behind the base of their head at their neck.  It makes
their tails poof out!  As you skritch, you can see the tail hair poofing.
I figure this is irritating to say the least, so I don't do it anymore,
but was shocked to see such a reaction.  I did have to do it a second
time to show the hubby and we both agree that it's pretty wild.  Of
course, as soon as I stop, Luna went tumbling down the hallway like she
was being chased by a rabid dog or something! :-)  Funny little hoodlums.
 
Anyway, does anyone else ever see this?  Do you know why it happens?
