Thank you everyone who has been concerned about Abu. We now need your help.
The veterinarian has told me that Abu has Pegonevative Anemia (I have no
idea if that is spelled right). He has no idea on how to deal with this in
a ferret this young. Usually this type of anemia hits female ferrets that
are 2 or 3 years old. What it is, is his bone marrow is producing the red
blood cells to fight off the anemia, but the anemia is progressing so
quickly that he is having to produce immature blood cells. What it comes
down to is the fact that his body is killing itself and then wearing itself
out trying to keep him alive (one of those circular things). If anybody has
delt with this or knows of someone who could help me with this, please let
me know. My veterinarian is researching it, but we could use all of the
help we can get.

Thank you for your letters of hope, they have really helped us out.

Love and hopefully many more Dooks,
Laura and Abu
