Hey my friends! It's been a SUPER busy week at the shelter. i want to
start off by saying that Bandit passed away on Thursday. he was a shelter
kid whom was picked up by auntie Cindy while mommie was away a few years
ago. auntie Theresa said she would baby-sit him until mommie got home and
well, babysitting turned into a permanent home. He was loved very much by
my auntie Theresa and uncle Jim. we're all real sad :-(

i finally got my fat graft done on Friday and it went really well. i
wanted out to play only 6 hours later! Dr. Taylor feels very confident
i'll be doing much better from here on in.

Chatty Cathy was adopted out this week. She went to a good home and we're
all really happy for her. Scamper came in the same day. He belonged to
someone who was allergic to him. He's 6 months old and a A*real* handsome
devil.

Chillie came to us on Friday via the Animal Hospital of High Park. She's
7 months old, with Adrenal Disease and her folks couldn't afford her
treatment. They were going to put her to sleep but instead, Dr. Regan
gave them the option of surrendering her to us. They did and Dr. Regan
donated the surgery for Chillie. Dr. Regan is so nice to do that!
Chillie is pretty but almost all bald.

We also took in an old friend this week. You may remember Dylan? He was
our poster child for the Valentines Date Auction.

Mommie took Mandrake in to the vet on Friday too. He may have congestive
heart disease and a possible partial blockage. He has a very enlarged
blood vessel leading to his heart so we'll have to repeat his x-rays in
a few weeks to see if they are any changes. In the meantime, he's on
antibiotics along with the rest of us, 'cuz little Mandrake came in with
Coccidia <ick!>

Our ADV tests came in on Friday so we'll all be tested soon. Mandrake got
tested the day they came in and his was negative. Dr. Lane wanted to try
out the tests so he performed the 1st one on Mandrake.

I hope all is well with all of you! Kisses from our house to yours!

Love, Harley "Bug"

Everything is okay in the end. If it's not okay, then it's not the end.
