In regards to the cancer survey on other mustelidae, I've never heard
about it being much of a problem in otters, though I have no idea
about other mustelids.  A chat with small mammal curators could
be interesting.
 
On another note, I just wanted to check if ferrets are legal
in Seattle.  I may be going to U of WA for grad school,
and that is obviously a big consideration.  Thanks.
