Actually he was talking about Peekaboo digging in moist wet soil.
Peekaboo does get outside to run free now and then. But she never digs
in anything. She has plenty of chance to do so but just does not dig.

My water bottle gets filled every other day, it seldom gets less than
1/4 empty unless the digger swims a gaggle of water out to the floor.
The floor is zinc plated metal pan. All the other floors and hammys are
above this one so water never gets up to them. The cage is six feet
tall, three feet wide and a foot and a half deep with seven floors.
Only the bottom is metal and has the litter pan on one end, the water
and 'J' feeder on the other on external mounts. Photo available for
the asking.

I clean the drink pool every other day or more often if they muck it
up. They do make a mess in it, but it for sure gives them as much
dihydrous oxide as they want or need with out me having to worry about
them going dry. I really hate to find a nonfreeze dried ferret in the
cage. They get brittle and break up easy but make a great popping noise
when dunked in dihydrous oxide to return to normal dookability.

So they are dry, the cage parts and accessories are dry and they have
lots of drink.
