You may have an answer already, I'm just catching up on my FML from last
week - sorry if I duplicate any info.

Your new carpet is LOADED with VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds). In other
words - toxic petroleum products which are released into the air, and
through contact. Your fuzzies are RIGHT close to it, (kind of like
polishing/waxing a hardwood floor and then having your fuzzy walk on it,
lick their feet and get sick).

For health reasons, yours *and* your critters - I would advise you to have a
professional clean your carpet ASAP. You could rent a Rug Doctor, but with
a new carpet, it's best to have the pros do it and renew the 3M Scotch Guard
right away (it's worth the $$, REALLY!).
