Shelter sponsorship: info wanted

The WNYFLFA Shelter is considering establishing a sponsorship program for
its "permanent residents".  I know several of the shelters subscribed to
this list have such programs in place; we'd like to know how you have it set
up, what sponsors receive, and how well it works.
