Yes...that's one thousand ninety-five dollars!  This is the dollar amount
that will be sent to the University of Georgia for ADV research.  This is
a phenomenal figure and I think it shows the ferret community is very
concerned about ADV and we want to find a way to stop it!
 
There are so many people who deserve thanks for making this donation to
the UGa possible.  First, I'd like to thank Pherit.  I know he's not a
'people,' but he is a precious little thing and I know his stories and
his urging everyone to donate really helped a lot!!  Thank you, Pherit!
Your mom and dad must be very proud of you!  We couldn't have done this
without you.
 
I would also like to thank the $100.00 donors.  Your generosity is
unbelievable!  This isn't like entering a contest or a raffle where you
have the chance of getting something back.  This is purely a gesture of
love...and of hope that someday our ferrets will be safe from this
threat.  So, to Connie Martin, Fran Brown, Renee Downs, Brenda Zupko,
and Jennifer Rasel, our ferrets thank you!  We couldn't have done this
without you!
 
To all of the Card Exchange donors and to those who didn't participate in
the card exchange, but contributed anyway, thank you all.  I know there
are many of you who really couldn't spare the money...but still you gave.
I think that is the ultimate symbol of love.  Saving change in a jar,
having a yard sale and raiding the 'rainy day' fund are just a few of the
ways that some of these people pulled together to donate.  Thank you all!
