Unfortunately this refers only to dogs and cats in Ontario, but maybe...
"NEWMARKET, ON, Aug. 17 /CNW/ - August 21 is Homeless Animals Day
acrossCanada, and the Ontario SPCA is issuing a plea to legislators: Help
homeless animals by banning the sale of dogs and cats in pet stores."
