I too check the tree and my heart aches when one ferret on a page isn't
chosen. I usually chose my ferrets late, to get the ones that are left
waiting.

But it is never personal when one isn't chosen early, we would all
choose them all if we could I'm sure! And, since one shelters ferrets
are usually grouped together, it's good if ferrets on all pages
throughout the tree are chosen, before all from all one page.

It could also be because of the needs of the ferret. This year funds
are tight, and as much as I would like to chose a ferret awaiting
surgery and send a good donation I can't at this time. I have through
the year bought bedding at fundraisers, and am trying to choose ferrets
who need what I already bought to send.

But hopefully by the end all ferrets will be chosen, and all shelters
will receive plentiful gifts and holiday wishes. Ferrets will be happy
when their gifts arrive, even after the holiday if it takes that long
for all to be chosen.

It is sad when ones passes before their gifts arrive, those little
rainbows break my heart. But hopefully gifts can still be sent in
their honor for all the shelter ferrets to enjoy.
