Chemical neutering and adrenal disease avoidance using deslorelin/
Suprelorin Depots are among the things being studied by Dr. Nico
Schoemaker in the Netherlands. Since these are life-long studies and
he is a very careful researcher they are taking a while. Until then
the info from other species can't be assumed to apply.

One catch that happens with humans is that this class of meds can
become less effective with long use. So that possibility also is being
considered and investigated to see if it might occur in ferrets (pers.
com. with Dr. Nico Schoemaker). See:
