We have had a similar discussion before. I can't remember when excactly it
started but I suggest that all those interested in this topic read the
following posts to prevent redundant material from cropping up. It seems to
be going in the direction of a violent response to high pitched noises -
which was a debate previously.

March 21 98 : Ferrets and babies cries - Mia Emery [FML issue 2254. BIG]
              Edward's Post - Marie I. Schatz

March 23 98 : Agression Stimulation in Ferret & Questions - Edward Lipinski
RE: Bob C: Erudite, Schmerudite - Kim Burkard
Ferrets & babies -- again (long) - Amy Seyler
Ferrets - babies cry - pitch - Dawn Desmarais

March 24 98 : Ferret Toys & 'Killer Ferrets' - E.M. Ennis
Ferrets and Infants - Bill Pelfrey
              Ferret domestication - Amy Seyler
RE: Ed's retrogressive ferret - Beth Stoker
              Ferrets evolution? - Lisaferets

March 25 98 : Wild, tame, domesticated, and no return? - Edward Lipinski
Mr. Lipinski speculating wild things about ferrets - Jim Young

I know there is more but you'll have to find them on your own. Just trying
to save some time. Enjoy the reading.
