Hi all,
This is my first post and I find this mailing list extremely helpful and
informative, and I must say I'm proud to be a part of it!

I'm planning to have my first ferret during this summer. The problem is, I
also have a pair of chinchillas which are about 4 years old. Does anyone
have any first-hand experience about how ferrets and chinchillas get along?
I've heard contrasting opinions about this, and I'm a bit confused. Some
say that ferrets were bred to hunt rodents, and they won't get along at
all. And yet I've heard stores about ferrets being friends with rodents
as small as gerbils in some households.

Also, would it make a difference if I start to let them intereact while my
ferret is still at a young age?

Thanks,
Ian
