For the poster who wanted to know how to get the yellow out, which is most
often food stains, and worse, we use a small amount of bluing in the rinse
water.  Used to use this on the English Setter when we were showing her to
keep her white, white.
 
I hope bluing can still be bought in the laundry section of the grocery
store.
