* Big, broad-based ceramic coffee mugs.
* No cups made of plastic or thin glass, or tall.
* Car cupholders that can hook over the lip of drawer when the drawer's
  closed.
* Travel mugs, the tops having a piece that slides over a small opening.
  Not totally ferret-proof, but spills are minimized.
* Toddler's tippy-cups.

I should point out that earlier I posted that Francine, who if human would
either be a civil engineer or a criminal mastermind, managed to lean waaay
over from my keyboard drawer to where I had a travel mug snugly fitted in a
cupholder, to pry the top off with her teeth, and to heave the heavy, full
mug up out of the holder and over the keyboard and up on the desk and then
behind the monitor, leaving a trail of cafe au lait in her wake. She is 1.2
lbs. So is the full cup.

Nothing is completely ferret-proof. Like perfection, we can only strive
for it.
