I would like to ask if you think you have the right sort of pet for you.
I would not dream of using a deodorizer on my ferrets, because I like my
ferrets to smell like ferrets.
 
If the naturale smell of ferrets if not for you, maybe you should think
about getting something like a stuffed toy
