I haven't, BUT we had a heartworm scare a while back. I don't think
I've been that worried and freaked out in all my life. Heartworm is a
very, very serious thing, and there is no guarantee a ferret who has
heartworm will make it through treatment. One of the "symptoms" of
heartworm is SUDDEN DEATH. The cure is almost as bad as the disease.

One scare was enough for me...now all my ferrets are on a monthly dose
of oral ivermectin from my vet. Thank god they didn't have it, and now
we don't have to worry about it anymore.
