I thought some of you might be interested in an update on Pepper, my 3-year
old, second adrenal surgery (cancer), roving silvermitt.

He has hair all over his body. Not terribly long, but certainly presentable.
It's also growing in much darker than it's been for at least a year ... a
couple people told me silvermitts seem to get white when they're sick and
get darker after they're better. That may be true ... he spent all of last
year just getting whiter and whiter.

His adventure in the outside world hasn't had any bad effects on him. In
fact, since I got him back, he's been eating his regular food and I haven't
had to give him duck soup! I guess I was too chicken to let him get really
hungry. He checks to see if he can get out the back door about every 30
minutes when he's out!

He's been "in training" to try to jump the gate to the rest of the house,
too. He can't make it yet, but he's been getting closer. He's also been
checking out alternative ways of getting across the gate ... nearby
furniture, toys, blankets ... anything the kids happen to set down near the
gate. :)

I've been giving him that Rene Casse's (sp?) herbal stuff for cancer and I
don't know if that's it or what, but so far he's had no signs of problems
from the cancer. He's having a great time, and he's gotten so spunky I've
actually had to reprimand him from time to time about nipping! He has that
old spark back in his eyes ... :)
