I have no idea if they cover ferrets but it might be interesting to
both go *and* to find out.

Because you subscribe to United Animal Nations' e-Journal, we know you
care about bringing animals out of crisis and into care. That's why
we're inviting you to join UAN's Emergency Animal Rescue Service (EARS)
as a trained volunteer.

EARS volunteers are the backbone of UAN's efforts to provide lifesaving
care and sheltering for animal victims of natural disasters and other
emergencies. Volunteers come from across the country and all walks of
life, but they have one thing in common: a commitment to helping
animals in need.

Our EARS volunteers often tell us that caring for animals at one of
our emergency shelters is one of the most rewarding things they've
ever done. Now, you can become part of our amazing EARS team!

Des Moines, Iowa is one of only 10 cities nationwide where we have
scheduled EARS volunteer training workshops in 2007! The daylong
workshops are being held on March 3 and 4, 2007. As an added bonus,
we are offering free optional animal-handling classes in conjunction
with these workshops.

Find more information and sign up for one of the workshops here:
