Anon asked about (and enlightened us) to the length of time it takes our
kiddies GI to complete it's task. 3 hours is average - you are correct. You
are also correct when you say - No matter what time you take their food away,
they STILL have to use the facilities.

If they are carrier-bound for an extended period of time (that could mean 5
minutes to some!) there really *is* no place for a proper litter box, and mine
will scrunch the bedding forward and potty in the corner behind it - kind of
gross, but quite tidy!

BUT... I have the solution for all you carrier-bound unionites out there! If
you have a kennel that comes apart in 2 sections and bolts together, (I don't
think the new ones work the same way with the fastening system, but try it
anyway), or is fastened in some similar manner, take the top off. Then place
a towel between the two sections at the back of the kennel - a hand towel is
just about the right size - so that it is kind of pulled tightly across (don't
worry about perfection here, you only want their little tushes up off the
floor, and for them to have enough room to stand under it, so a little sag is
just right). Next, bolt the top and bottom tightly back together. Voila!
you have an instant hammock!

Hope this helps you out!
