Hello everybody,

I need help, but a little history first: 2 of my ferrets are in the
process of being diagnosed for not eating. It seems like Squiggy has
an ulcer (not eating, diarreha, teeth grinding) and he's responding
well to Pepcid and he now eats his gruel from the saucer. Since his
bloodwork came back normal, our vet is going to prescribe Sucralfate
this weekend, so that's great. But Louie is still undiagnosed. He
wasn't eating or pooping and his stomach was gurgling, so we took him
to the vet for an exam and a barium series. The good news was that
there was no blockage of any kind, but the vet felt a mass behind his
stomach. She sent him home with amoxicillin and pepcid and told me to
give him gruel too. Unfortunately, Louie acts like having a syringe
near him will kill him. He squirms and turns his head away when I get
close. I read that I could swaddle him, but my attempts have been in
vain. Does anyone have any other suggestions or proper instructions
on how to swaddle? I really hate being the mean lady with the syringe,
but he's still not eating on his own, so I may be in this position for
some time.

Thank you so much!
