Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this the
same magazine that altered the ferret photo?

I do agree that all letters of concern should be written in a diplomatic
manner. I don't agree that the errors should be passed off as a beginner's
mistake. If these people are going to present themselves as professionals,
publish an animal specific magazine dedicated to the care of said animal,
than they should be held to a professional's standard. Period. Large
publishing firms are trying to play "catch up" in the ferret market (now
that they've realized there is one). In doing so, they're missing quality
and accuracy in an attempt to make up for lost time. This is no different
from what we've seen with toys, treats, and food that were tested and
marketed for cats. The companies, lacking knowledge and wanting a quick
market share, slapped a picture of a ferret on the package and sold it for
ferrets. How many people bought soft foam rubber "ferret toys" because the
package said it WAS a ferret toy?

My opinion (not that anyone asked); If you want a quality magazine with
accuracy, professionalism, and experience, subscribe to or buy Modern
Ferret. As the slogan goes; "For ferret owners, by ferret owners".
Besides; Only a ferret owner could understand that the dirt in your once
potted plants didn't really belong there...:)~
