The San Diego Insider Web site's "Hot Topic" this week (or however long it
lasts) is Rocky and ferret legalization in California.  They've written a
brief, but very positive and reasonably accurate, article on the subject,
with links to the CDFA and other sites.  They're also collecting readers'
opinions (including a poll with the choice 'Adopt the ferret as the state
mascot'! :) .
 
An excerpt: "Is it time to change this antiquated law and make California
ferret-friendly by the 21st century?  Or should ferrets be kept under wraps,
hidden in shame, from probing government eyes?"
