        Well, b4 I even owned a single ferret, my friend got one from a
local store. (this was in Illinois, where the store was really a nursery of
plants & didn't usually carry pets).  They named him 'Cuda as in baracuda
as he bit pretty hard, & didn't let go!
 
        We took the stance of a flip on the nose & saying NO rather loudly.
He needed at least 3 or 4 rounds of "thumping" and NO before letting go.
He did not flinch at all, so we knew we wern't hurting him.
 
        Anyway, all evening this went on, but the next day, and forever
after he never bit another bite!
 
        Like people, ferrets are individuals, so what may work with one
might not with another.  Just a short story with a happy outcome!
