Amy
I'd recommend getting Miya to a vet right away. At the very least you
will probably want to put a triple antibiotic on it to prevent infections,
perhaps other medications as well to promote healing and relieve
discomfort.

Just over a week ago, my Caruso developed an ulcerated cornea, we haven't
a clue how he might have injured it so badly. We are treating it 4 times
a day with triple antibiotic and once a day with atropine. For a while it
seemed to get worse but I think now is finally responding. (The pediapred
he is on for insulinoma may have slowed the healing.)

Eye injuries generally respond well to immediate treatment, but in my
opinion, waiting can be dangerous.

Hope Miya recovers quickly.
