Jill asked: Does anyone know when we should expect Peanuts eyes to
open?

According to my research, ferrets open their eyes at about day 30.
This is also about the time that they begin to start to respond to
sound. Before day 32 the ear is usually closed.

A special thank you to Danee Devore, who shared with me from her
experience that the mother does not usually "talk" to the kits until
about the time they begin to hear.

To learn more about kits and their development, come hear Danee present
about her personal breeding experiences at the upcoming Pittsburgh
Symposium Nov. 7-9. I am sure the AWWW factor will be off the scale!
