Most likely, a good ferret specialist will be able to un-block the
gland and get things sorted out. The vet may need to sedate her, as
it is uncomfortable.

I would probably go to the specialist, but it's worth calling and
seeing if they can fit you in.

Questions I'd ask mostly have to do with how likely it is to happen
again.

If it's a pattern, it might be better to have the glands removed.

If it's a one time thing, then it's not necessary.
