To Juan Acosta:

>time I've seen this in the last three weeks. Could this be a sign of ECE?

While it could, without any other symptoms (as Bogie does not appear to
be showing), I wouldn't thing ECE is the problem.

Please remember (everyone on the FML, also, as this comes up almost
once a week), that birdseed-like stools does not mean ECE, but simply that
there is some problem in intestinal abdsorption. This can very well be a
temporary problem (as Juan mentioned, Bogie may have eaten a small piece of
soap (which on its own, would increase transit time through the GI tract).

If the intestine doesn't have enough time to digest the food, it often
appears in small undigested globules, resembling birdseed. while this does
happen in ECE, it is a non-specific finding that happens in many other
conditions as well.

As I am running a few days behind, I would suspect that at the time
that you read this, Bogie has probably passed many normal stools....
