hi, firstly i want to ask why you buy ferrets from a pet shop?, there
are plenty of rescues & shelters in the usa, if an animal is being poory
treated in a pet store it should be reported (as you said you did), all
you are doing is giving the pet store more insentive to re stock , so
buy giving a rescued ferret a good home in my opinion is much better than
allowing a petstore to keep re stocking from ferret farms.

secondly how old is the ferret you now have? why are you having to force
it to eat, ?

thirdly if the ferret wont eat out of a bowl its hardly the crime of
the decade, use one of the toys you stuff food into & let the ferret roll
it about , hense the food falls out & the ferret will be able to pick up
the food , making it a game is much more fun than expecting the little
ferret, to do tricks, i havent ever had a ferret use a litter tray , so
what, i think you expect to much its a baby, allow it to be a baby.

your next problem will be biting if this baby doesnt like the food you
are force feeding it with , it will become hungry, hungry ferrets will
eventually bite, try feeding meat, , i understand keeping ferrets in the
uk is different , but i never feed kibble to kits, i leave it in there
run for them to pick at when they are ready, its not rocket science ,
just common sense,
