The Dr. found and saved for me a large whole kernel of corn in Stink's small
intestine. I don't know where or how she got this, we don't eat this type
of corn, we eat only the canned nibbles and at that it was over two weeks
ago. It is most likely the Dr. said from a stock or something like that
that people use to decorate with this time of year as it was very hard.
Maybe I'll take a few pictures and put up a web page, something like "The
price of corn has really skyrocketed in recent days" kind of like a Wall
Street update thing ;-)

We all went, me, hubby and the kids, yesterday afternoon to see Stink after
her operation. It is hard to believe but she looked better then than she
did when I first brought her in. We weren't allowed to hold her but she did
wake up enough to look at us and break our hearts ;-) We are so very
grateful and I'm told there is no reason not to expect a full recovery. She
should be able to come home tomorrow night.

I'm still fairly new to the ferret world, those of you that have had this
experience would you mind sending me some ideas or help. What type of
things should I be doing for her, I'm guessing that she will need to be put
in the travel cage so that Pepper doesn't try to rough house with her, what
about diet? Exercise? How long before she is healed, when do I let her
play? know the Dr. will be sending me home with some instructions but I
would feel better to have actual help from those that have gone through
this. Thank you.

One last thing, this all started at 8 p.m. on Sunday night. I took her to
the vet on Mon. morning.... by the afternoon she was in for surgery. As
you can see I swiftly got her help, there was no delay or wait and see for a
while attitude taken. The Dr. once again told me flat out if I had waited
just one more night she WOULD NOT have lived to see the morning. Please
don't wait to get help if you think your fuzzy is in trouble.

Thank you all so much for your kind words and help, I'll get back soon to
those of you who wrote me about Stink..... right now I'm going to take a
short nap, it has been a hell of a last 2 days.
