I'm glad someone else noticed the problems remaining in the HSUS statement.
I still see HSUS as thinking that ferrets are not as "good" a pet as dogs or
cats.  Sure they added little phrases to please members of the LIFE that
were talking to them but they left out the average ferret owner or potential
owner.  Ferrets are great pets that are easier to care for than most dogs in
my opinion.  Far friendlier than the average cat.  I'm talking with the
other national ferret groups - NAFA and AFA (FURO is closing their doors so
I don't bother with them much anymore) to see what they think.  Initial
reactions are not as impressed with the HSUS.  There was a reason they did
not associate with the HSUS.  I doubt much reason to change that was really
revealed.
