I'm sure you're going to get a lot og good advice on nip training your
little ferret.  I suggest that you contact a ferret shelter and ask for a
live demo from someone used to ferrets.  It can be hard to figure things
out just by reading about them.  Also, a visit to a shelter will give you
three hundred great ideas for your new ferrets' food, toys, litter boxes,
health, and so on AND will get you started toward meeting other ferret
folks.
 
I've found that contact (in addition to email) with other people who know
fuzzies is invaluable, and has made some good changes in my ferrets' lives.
