Hi All!
 
Firstly, let me introduce myself.  My name is Karen and I have been lurking
for quite some time.  I love all the information that I have been able to
gather - Thank you all!  I am the owner of 2 rabbits but no ferrets.  I just
love ferrets.  My sister has two jills.  I really wish I had one or ten, but
my husband HATES them.  No matter what I do, he will not touch them or go
near them.  I am working on a way to get one, but that is another story.
For now I just have to settle for visiting my sister as much as possible.
 
I would like to volunteer some time at a local ferret shelter (if one
exists).  I am in Hartford CT, and would be willing to travel to help out.
I know that FACT (ferret assoc. of CT) exists, but I have called them (no
exaggeration) 5 times with no response.  I would really love to find a place
where I can volunteer if possible, as it seems this is the only ferret
interaction I will be getting for a while.  I would be grateful for any
suggestions.
