The Aberdeen Beastiary was written and illuminated in England about 800 years

It refers (in Latin, with supplied translation) to two kinds of Mustela, one
that lives in the forest, and one that "roams around in houses." It also
reports that some think they mate through the ear and give birth through the
mouth or perhaps the other way around. Hmmm...
