Hi All -
FYI - most zoos use something called the International Species Inventory
System for keeping records of their animals and for proper naming.  They
list Mustela putorius furo as the European Polecat (domesticated).  There
are 15 subspecies listed, of which furo is only one.  So now you know, you
are all the proud parents of polekitties!
