I have had four ferret cages in the last four years. I have done the rabbit
cage, two story ferret condo, the West brand so-called ferret condo (the
second and third cage can be found in most pet stores) and the ferret house
recently purchased from H & S Designs.

My cage is a three story, carpeted condo on wheels. Each section has a full
floor (not just two ledges like West cages) and two ledges. The cage comes
with a lixit water bottle, two food dishes and a toilet, all which can be
fastened to the cage wall (thus preventing the daily required ferret
remodeling session). The top level of the three story cage comes off, so
if you have a sick ferret or add a new family member, this child can be
seperated from the others (I take the top level with me and the kids when
we go on overnight trip to Aunt Maylene's house). One can also add fourth
and fifth level's to this three level cage (I will by the end of the
summer).

H & S designs also make one and two level cages.

Harold makes them in his barn or garage and ships the items via FedEx. I
highly recommend giving him a call.  His phone number is 1-909-988-6770;
fax# 1-909-988-7400.

If you (or anyone reading this)has the May/June issue of "Ferrets-Your
Source for Living With Ferrets", look on the bottom of page 5; there is an
add with a photo of the three level cage.

I don't know if you will consider the cage cheap, but for the quality
and functionality of the cage, it's a steal.

Hope this helps-Lise
