Here in SE TX fleas are a year round adventure, just as the are in FL...
I too have had wonderful success and no problems with using Advantage on
my ferrets (3-4 drops is all it takes and dog or cat formula does not
matter).  I have also had good results with both Frontline plus and
Revolution.
