The vulva should return to normal size in 1-2 weeks after surgery. Since
it has been roughly 2 months, it is likely that the right gland is still
overproducing hormones. Thus it is time for surgery to remove the right
gland or time to start her on Lupron to control the signs. With a big
vulva there is more of a risk of estrogen induced anemia, so I would
recommend surgery or high dose Lupron. Yes, melatonin can be used with
the Lupron to help the fur grow back.

Hope that helps,
Jerry Murray, DVM
