I know that this is off topic, BIG, but I've been searching on the
internet and not finding anything.  And I don't belong to any dog
mailing lists.
 
My dog has vomitted twice today, and has since gotten the dry heaves many
times.  Is there something I can give her to help her feel better?  At
what point do I need to take her to a vet?  I am concerned, because it
looks like she got into something she shouldn't.  There was a piece of
a cable tie or something similar in one pile of vomit.  She is an almost
3 year old lab mix, around 55 lbs.
