I just had a question about ferret drinking habits. Both my ferrets, Elsa &
Zooey, drink out of a bowl. Zooey drinks without much fanfare, but Elsa
does this: She digs at the water, like she's digging up dirt, which causes
it to splash EVERYWHERE. Then she proceeds to lick the water from the sides
of the bowl, where it splashed. She won't drink from it like NORMAL animals
do. She does this all the time, regardless of how much water is in the
bowl. Also, both ferrets like the antibiotic they're on now, amoxicillin,
but Elsa has trouble licking it off the syringe. She gets it all over her
whiskers and shakes it everywhere, including me.

It's probably just an annoying habit she has, but I wonder how she picked it
up. Sometimes she gets everything wet, the bottom of the cage, herself
included, and this causes her to smell more than usual (she's not
descented). She gets it all over the floor too. I was just curious if
anyone else had seen that. Also, if a ferret successfully hides on average
10 CDs or tapes every day, and goes through increasingly difficult obstacles
to "free" these objects, does that qualify her for consideration in the FLO
army?
